“Our first review from our first Island Walkers Keith & Tina 9/23/2024”
We recently had the pleasure of staying at Sandy and Gordy’s amazing B&B, and we can’t possibly recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. Sandy and Gordy could not be more friendly, helpful, or kind—they really go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. The location is stunning, nestled right beside a beautiful bay with fantastic views that are simply breathtaking. What sets this B&B apart is how much Sandy and Gordy understand the needs of hikers. They specialize in accommodating walkers, and it shows. There are laundry facilities available, which were such a relief after a long day on the trails. And the best part? The hot tub! It’s the perfect way to relax and soothe sore muscles after a day of exploring. The entire experience felt like a home away from home, with all the comforts and warmth we could ask for. If you're looking for a place that combines beautiful scenery, thoughtful amenities, and hosts who truly care, this is it!
Walking is Mindful
The best time for walking the Island is in our “shoulder months” which allows us to keep the rates at a reasonable price.
There is no guarantee on the weather however the temperatures are usually suited best for walking during the months of May, June, September & OctoberAccommodations
Ezy Suite offers a main floor bedroom with an ensuite. It boasts its own eclectic style, featuring a four-poster Queen bed, Tempur-Pedic mattress, and exquisite linens. The ensuite includes a spacious walk-in shower, single vanity, plush towels & toiletries.
Bella features a spacious room adorned with bright colors and warm oceanic accents, creating a beach-inspired ambiance. It boasts a Queen-sized bed equipped with a cooling memory foam mattress for optimal comfort, complemented by elegant linens.
Wispy boasts warm green tones, a Queen bed with a white rustic finish, ensuring a comfortable sleep on a cooling memory foam mattress, complemented by beautiful linens. During the Island Walker’s season a single bed will be added to Wispy’s room, complimented with beautiful linens.
An indoor sauna is available with Bella & Wispy rooms
If you book Bella or Wispy as individual rooms, please understand that the bathroom with double vanities, soaker tub & private sauna is a shared space.
Included with all walking packages:
- Daily- Hot Breakfast included.
- Packed lunch – $15 per day (cash only) – Make your own bagged lunch – choose from fresh buns, assorted lunch meat, cheese, fruits, mixed nuts, snacks, juice box and water at our take-out lunch bar served daily for your convinience.
- Please review packages below, regarding “In-House Dinners” during your stay. They are always plentiful, homemade and a healthy choice! $25.00 per person per day (cash only)
- Hot Tub – Our 6 person HydroPool Signature 679 Hot Tub features Thermal Shield Insulation Technology, Zone Therapy & Wellness. Perfect for indulging yourself after a long day of walking!

Package 1
4 Night Package Heading to Tignish
- Day 1 – Arrival Waypoint 4 for Pick-up & Drop-off
- PICKUP 5:30 PM
- Step into Evermoore’s Brewing Company & Dining, a brewery and eatery located in the historic train station of Summerside. Please plan to have dinner there upon arrival. We will pick you up after you’ve enjoyed a satisfying meal.
- Day 2 – Waypoint 5 for Pick-up and Drop-off
- PICKUP 4:00 PM
- First “In-House” dinner served 5:30pm.
- Salad, healthy stew, fresh bread, desert, coffee or tea.
- Day 3 – Waypoint 6 for Pick-up and Drop-off
- PICKUP 4:00 PM
- Second “In-House” dinner served 5:30pm.
- Salad, spagetti & meatballs, garlic bread, desert, coffee or tea.
- Day 4 – Waypoint 7 for Pick-up and Drop-off
- PICKUP 4:00 PM
- Third “In-House” dinner served 5:30pm.
- Salad, wood oven pizza, desert, coffee or tea.
- Morning drop at O’Leary Confederation Trail before setting off on your next adventure.
*Transportation cost covers travel to and from waypoints
*Transportation rate is applicable for guests who share the transportation at the time of booking, ranging from 1 to 4 persons.
*For solo travelers I will make an effort to pair up with others to share the cost of $395.00 whenever possible. Note: Walkers must be on the same walking schedule.
Package 2
3 Night Package Returning from Tignish
- Day 1 – Waypoint 12 for Pick-up and Drop-off
- PICKUP 4:00 PM.
- “In-House” dinner served at 5:30pm.
- salad, lasagna, garlic bread, desert, coffee or tea
- Day 2 – Waypoint 13 for Pick-up and Drop-off
- PICKUP 4:00 PM following
- Dinner at Backwoods Burger Craft Beer and Cookhouse in Tyne Valley (reservation 4:30 PM) call for pickup when ready.
- Day 3 – Waypoint 14 for Pick-up and Drop-off
- PICKUP 4:00 PM.
- “In-House” dinner served at 5:30pm.
- Salad, healthy stew, desert, coffee or tea
- Day 4 – Morning drop at Miscouche Confederation Trail before setting off on your next adventure.
*Transportation cost covers travel to and from waypoints, as well as scheduled dinner out.
*Transportation rate is applicable for guests who share the transportation at the time of booking, ranging from 1 to 4 persons.
*For solo travelers I will make an effort to pair up with others to share the cost of $265.00 whenever possible. Note: Walkers must be on the same walking schedule.
Additional Notes:
- All transportation costs, in-house dinner, and daily packed lunches must be paid in cash upon arrival.
- Every bedroom is equipped with a 43-inch TV.
- Main floor laundry includes soaps and dryer sheets.
- The Hydro Pool Hot Tub is available at your convenience, anytime.
- Our outdoor area offers ample seating, complete with a screened-in porch.
- Take a beach chair, dip your feet in the ocean; the salt water is ideal for healing.
- Should you have any dietary requirements for the in-house dinner, please inform me at the time of your reservation.
